Last year post lockdown, with the thought of getting into AI, I took python as a hobby and started learning from online resources, followed by building a couple of projects and finally getting job as a python developer. I would be totally wrong if I call myself as a fortunate one in this case because credit goes to family and friends who helped me in the run and also to some efforts from me.

First project in the job was something which was built by a third party in the span of 6 months by a small group of developers. I was hired to manage the whole project all alone by myself with inputs from the third party team leader which weren’t any less than Haley’s comet.

Till yesterday, I was practising fight moves watching video tutorials and today, I have been made to fight a bear. Bruised all over, mentally not physically, I accepted my defeat in a hope to beat the bear next day.

Woke up early, knuckles cracked, hit the power button, buckled up and recalling everything that I had practiced last night. Made my first move, no results, then second move and on and on. Finished the day with more number of bruises, mental not physical ones.

The fight continued for a couple of months until I realized, I have been moved to another project, a much smaller one. My happiness knew no bound after completion of smaller projects while bear was staring at me with shoulders high, pride in eyes and evil smile on face.

I was well aware of the fact that, either today or tomorrow, I will have to fight a similar bear, built in years and much bigger in size. I started working upon myself, gaining knowledge and facing mental torture.

With some dedication and discipline, I realised now I am prepared enough to fight another bear and fortunately, it is also not too late to realise that throughout this journey, my fight was with my last self, not the bear.
